Heritage Week at Pearse Lyons Distillery, August 17th-25th 2019

As part of National Heritage Week, visit Pearse Lyons Distillery where you can view our free exhibition on the lives of those buried in our 800 year old graveyard. Discover the many fascinating stories of tradesmen and women from The Liberties, Dublin and their adventures at home and abroad. From soldiers who fought in the Civil War or earned a Victoria Cross in New Zealand there are countless incredible tales to discover. Whether they were making boots, biscuits, brews or overseeing the humble beginnings of the Irish Whiskey phenomenon, our ancient burial site is home to men, women and children who helped to put Dublin on the map of industry and invention.

The exhibition is in the reception foyer of our visitor centre, open from 9:30am to 5pm (11:30am on Sundays). You can make the most of your visit by booking one of our whiskey tasting experiences and touring the inside of our renovated St. James Church that now houses our boutique, working distillery. The tour includes the 800 year old graveyard surrounding the church and much of the local history of The Liberties, Dublin.
